On Sunday the 12th, I, along with one of my bestfriends, are heading off to China for 12 days!
It's a school trip that I've been paying off for over a year (with help from my parents as well, thank you!).
I wanted to write up a little blog post just so it's here and when Iook back, I'll be able to see it in years to come.
A lot of people have asked me whether I have learnt Chinese in school, but no, sadly I haven't. This is merely an opportunity trip.
I also wanted to point out that had I not had this opportunity, I don't think I ever would have actually travelled to China. I've always wanted to go to America and around Europe but despite my love for Asian food, it never occurred to me to go there.
I am so grateful to have this opportunity to do something I never would have done otherwise.
It's also winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer here in Australia, so I'm going to go from 30 degree Celsius temps. to not much above freezing! I've got plenty of thermals so hopefully I'll be warm enough!
Anyway, I thought I'd just mention that and I am going to try and put up some blog posts while I'm there, depending on wifi, with pictures of what we've done of that day/s. That also depends on how tired I am as well, as we have some big, jam-packed days planned.
